For the longest time I wanted to have a proper way to share and leave behind my thoughts, projects and things I end up creating. Today I Learned (TIL), a blog, Github projects and a personal website all partially serve that purpose, but it always felt to limited. Moreover, there are many things Work In Progress (WIP), do you already throw it on Printables, I cannot. Hence I needed something that would fit me.
I was discussing some things with my wife and I was describing a project I had using MeshCore and I asked her if I should continue or not because of a bunch of reasons. She went: but isn't it for you often enough fine if you just work it out in your head and leave it there?... It gave me pause and while she was not wrong it still felt wrong. In the sense it feels wrong to leave it there, if I spent the time thinking it feels wasteful to then let it never see the light of day. She then started describe a "system" I could use to publish and keep track of ALL my projects across many different genres. I already want to use Zola for quite some time to chronicle my Kubernetes infrastructure, but this would be so much more.
I was sold!
What
I need to have a system in which I can easily start a project, keep track of it, and publish it continuously from just a random brain fart to a finished polished project.
Current goal
I need to figure out a structure or a process to chronicle projects. Maybe what this is
- Why
- What/how
- Current "blockers" (rather negative, I mean the things that I am currently stuck on)
Maybe some other rules:
- My position to AI,
- What about all texts, do I care about readability/spelling, etc?
